The business environment is always evolving. This means professionals must evolve with it. To successfully evolve a professional must have a varied skill-set, the ability to adapt quickly, and the motivation to continue to expand that skill-set.
As a customer service and customer experience professional I have experience in many customer related processes and areas. Those areas include sales, ticketing, CRM software, and customer service. My experience has ranged from basic customer service in a phone, email, and chat environment to highly advanced and ensuring a great customer experience during all phases of the customer process.
While the customer service and customer experience sound as if they are interchangeable, they are not. However, customer service gave me a strong foundation for customer experience.
With customer service an agent is meant to give a great interaction. This usually a one-time interaction. In many cases that agent will speak with hundreds of people per week and provide solutions to one question or problem.
Customer experience is more involved. From the time a prospective client reaches out to being a touchpoint for a current client, customer experience encompasses the entire sales and support cycle.
Possessing administrative experience is also valuable. I have done everything from reception work to C-Level support. This has honed my skills in areas such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CRM programs, etc.
